An original illustration I created for a story project I have bouncing around my mind. Ollie is a nervous little blue penguin from a tiny, predator-free island off the coast of Australia. One fateful day, he finds himself swept away and awakens on the treacherous shores of the Australian mainland and must find a way to survive. Thankfully, he encounters and befriends a plucky little bandicoot named "Wingnut", who vows to help Ollie find his way home.

Another illustration based on my little jar of prompts that lives on my drawing desk. This time, the prompt was "Old Car" and after the initial wave of trepidation, I set to work. I believe in the importance of pushing out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself, and I surprised myself with just how much fun I had drawing this old car.

One of my favourite ongoing projects is to photograph birds and other animals then create an illustration based off the photo. This wonderful little blackbird cheered me up one morning with his song and I was delighted to capture the moment in this illustration.

Some fan art I created based on a game I hold very dear to my heart: 'Paleo Pines'. I am a self confessed dinosaur fanatic, and found this game during a particularly difficult time in my life. It brought me endless hours of joy and escapism, and so I wanted to celebrate this delightful game for everything it helped me through.

The third image in my screen print series: "Wintering". I had never explored the world of screen printing before we began our printmaking module last year at college. I didn't imagine myself enjoying it, but I absolutely fell in love with the process. This series: 'Wintering', was inspired by observing the local wildlife during the coldest depths of winter. I was amazed at their resilience and hardiness, and reflected on how I could take on this mentality in my own approach to tackling winter. This idea is explored in this three-part series.

An illustration I created during the spring of 2025, which was an incredibly transformative period in my life. It was a beautiful time of introspection and appreciation for the life and nature around me.

Some character designs I created for a multiple story project I have been working on in collaboration with the author of 'Poor Widdle Werewolf' Jacob Willoughby. The idea centres around young dinosaurs of different species, who have to put aside their differences and use their unique skills in harmony with each other to escape danger and solve problems. We would absolutely love to get the chance to develop this story into a full picture book someday.

An original illustration for a personal story I have that I would love to make into a full picture book one day. Rachel is going through a turbulent time in her life, and wanders out into the woods with her best friend, Barley to take her mind off things. Before they know it, the two find themselves lost. Can they make it home before her Dad returns from work and finds them missing?

A developmental illustration for my picture book project: 'The Corgi and the Goose'. Here, we see farmer Bernie spending a lovely, cosy evening relaxing with a book while his happy little corgi, Porgy snoozes away in his lap.

An original character I designed by picking from a jar of random drawing prompts. The prompt was 'Orca'. I had a delightful time drawing this happy little guy. I imagined a character who hails from frigid Antarctic seas but dreams of warm Californian beaches. I think many of us who live in soggy old England would be able to sympathise with him.

An experimental piece created during the spring of 2026, for a project from my Access to HE: Art and Design course. I had spent weeks photographing and studying the changing seasons at the Humber Bridge Country Park and wanted to see how well I could represent the essence of the place with my chosen illustration materials. Looking at this piece just makes me want to go back to that wonderful woodland again.

If I have time, I love creating original illustrations for Christmas cards every year. This is the one I created for the festive season of 2025.
